Civil War Links

We (mostly) finished up our Civil War study last week. Here's the remainder of useful links I have to share.

Civil War Unit from Squidoo
Free Lapbook from Homeschool Share
Free Lapbook from dynamic2moms
Free printables
Slavery Unit from SmallWorld

This is a game I picked up at a used curriculum sale. It teaches locations of important battles, campaigns, and places of the Civil War.

Food Ideas. We made gingerbread.
Idiot's Delight

More Music
Kentucky Confederate Battle Anthem
Carolina Fifes and Drums

We are currently reading Little Women, which gives you a taste of life at home during the war. After all the military stuff we've been reading, Miah and I are enjoying the change of pace. I think we'll wrap up with Across Five Aprils. Other than that we've read lots of books from the juvenile non-fiction section at the library and found some documentaries to watch on Netflix. Oh, and we watched Gone With the Wind. (I'm not a fan.)
