  1. How fun! Are those beets or radishes? I love beets and can't wait to have some from CSA (our first year!) this summer.

  2. They're Early Scarlet Globe radishes from rareseeds.com. Best radishes I've ever tasted. I've never liked radishes, but I like these. They're very mild.

  5. Awww, the happy evidences of Spring!! I just love baseball and am excited for my second son to play this year for the first time. We planted onions and broccoli so far--hoping it wasn't too early! :) And yogurt. . .have you made it already? Looks like fun times! I just make mine with the culture from a little bit of yogurt I already have on hand, but it looks like fun to try all your fancy stuff! :)

  6. I haven't used the yogurt maker yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I've tried making yogurt a couple times using a little from the store. Both times were failures, but I don't think it was the culture. I had a hard time keeping the temp right. There was a yogurt culture in the packet but also cultures for sour cream, creme fraiche, buttermilk, fromage blanc, and kefir. Exciting!

  7. Oh to make homemade yogurt. Have fun with your yogurt maker. Your daughter's haircut looks lovely and springy! We have so much to plant still too - amazing to see a harvest. A post full of happy goodness!
