. . . because boys will be boys.

(Yes, it's real.)

  1. Oh Sarah, that's gross! I walked into something similar this week... didn't have the camera though! :) At least he doesn't look upset about it!

  2. What happened? It looks painful...but he doesn't look bothered. One tough cookie!

  4. A little boy hit him in the head with a stick. When I asked Larkin what happened, he said, "We were just playing." My friend took Larkin in the bathroom and cleaned his head with peroxide. He was only being tough because we were at a friend's house. If that had been self-inflicted at our own house, he would have been screaming and crying, and if I had been the one to pour peroxide on it, he would have definitely been screaming. In this case, he was just too busy to bother with the screaming and crying; he wanted to get back outside and play.

  5. Head wounds always bleed like crazy! Glad he's ok, though! My cousins were always good for battle wounds. They practically had their own ward in the hospital's ER! :)

  7. Yikes! And can I confess it made me smile that you took a picture?! Something about scrappers and/or bloggers--they have to take pictures of EVERYTHING! giggle

  8. Eeeeh! My three-year old is quite impressed! He says, "Was it a mean boy?" :)

  9. And to think I was the only mother to take pictures of their kids wounds :)

Hope it was only a flesh wound ;)

  10. Oh, boys! I love my two kiddos...but my goodness the aggression. It's not that they are purposefully hurting each other, they just get so into their pretend world. :)

  11. Wow - this is getting lots of comments! No, it was actually a nice boy who was just playing too rough. :)

  12. Ouch! You know that's too much blood when you can't tell where the gash is. Glad to hear it wasn't serious though.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today :)

  14. That is a great picture. It's good to bleed once in a while. :) The girls weren't quite as impressed with the blood but like Larkin's expression.
