The Week's Pictures

Here are a few pictures from our week. We have been enjoying the sunshine and flowers. And Rohan learned to use the potty. He was the easiest to train; he'll do anything for a piece of candy. ;)

A couple weeks ago, we started some geode eggs. The sea salt (purple) turned out the best, and the baking soda (orange) did pretty good too. We also tried epsom salt (green) and sugar (blue), which didn't work as well for us.

Larkin dressed Zahana up as an "African woman". I think he must have gotten the idea from a book about Mary Slessor we read recently. Zahana has lately refused to smile for pictures. For the first picture (above), I had to take quite a few before I could catch a smile.

Yesterday, we went to a friend's house and made rice pasta together. We used a playdough toy, and it worked!

And yesterday evening, while Jeremiah worked on a new fence for the chickens, Miah wove vines and turned herself into Minnie Mouse.

A new bedtime ritual: learning animals from a giant board book. Larkin found this book when he went to a used curriculum sale with me a couple weeks ago. He loves learning the names of the animals.
