Vittles For Littles: Hamburger Pizza Pie

Here's an easy recipe from good ol' Betty Crocker, slightly adjusted. Everybody wanted to help with this one.
You need:
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1/2 tsp. dried oregano, basil, or Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. mushrooms*
1 small green pepper*
1/3 c. pepperoni*
1 c. spaghetti sauce
1 c. mozzarella
*You can pretty much add any pizza toppings you like in any amount you want.

The kids and the stuff:

Heat oven to 400. In a large bowl, put the beef,

egg,

salt,

and seasoning.

Mix well.

Pat into a 9" deep dish pie plate.

Slice your mushrooms . . .

and spread them on top of the meat mixture.

Add green peppers. We had some already chopped in the freezer from our garden.

Add pepperoni.
Photobucket

Pour sauce over top. Bake 25 minutes or until beef is cooked through. Drain off grease by pressing a small plate directly onto the food and tipping up the whole pie plate.

Grate the cheese.
Photobucket

Add to top of dish. Bake an additional 5-10 minutes or until cheese is golden.

And that's it! Supper is served!
