Fourth of July Weekend

Photobucket
We went up to Kentucky to visit family for Independence Day.
The cousins had a beautiful time together, dressing up, playing together, going to the parade, gardening, and of course, watching (and lighting) fireworks. (Click pictures to enlarge.)

At my parents house, I enjoyed a walk in the woods with Miah and my mom. Then we all had a wonderful meal together. We celebrated Miah's birthday, which included some perfect homemade ice-cream.

Is this the Fourth of July?! We were wearing jackets and blankets! Oh well, time for fireworks! And shooting clay pigeons. Is that my 5-year-old son out there setting off fireworks? At least they didn't hand him the gun.

  3. Kevin and I were just talking about how much we missed seeing your posts but what a nice surprise today to see so many pictures from your 4th of July celebration. I love seeing little glimpses of the family. Wish we could have been there too but I'm so glad you had an enjoyable time. It's sad to be so far away and yet your wonderful pictures help bridge the gaps and let us enjoy watching the kids change and grow through your camera lens. Thank you. Wonderful pictures as always!
